Stylish leather laptop bag made of beautiful Italian grain leather
This is a beautiful, but stubborn leather laptop bag. I’ll explain.
Almost all laptop bags have a horizontal design. You can buy them in hundreds of designs. All those laptop bags do their job just fine. They protect your precious laptop and you can also carry all your other office stuff in them.
This leather laptop bag is therefore different: it is a vertical bag.
That looks nicer and it is also more comfortable to wear. But then this bag is the odd one out among laptop bags.
Inspiration from my own school days
My school days were in Gorinchem (Netherlands), at the ‘Oude Hoven’ school community. We had a great time and I still like to think about it.
But after four school years dragging that old-fashioned leather school bag I wanted something different.
The really cool guys didn’t use the obligatory leather school bag: they had a black canvas shopping bag (‘a shopper’), with those leather handles. That looked very relaxed and such a bag was much more comfortable to wear. So I wanted that too.
Forty years later: I’m thinking about a new laptop bag.
Idea: isn’t a shopper-style laptop bag much more fun and also much nicer to wear?
So yes. And this is the end result: our new leather laptop bag ‘Portrait’.
Leather laptop bag made of vegetable tanned leather
Just like with our leather satchel ‘Natural’, we choose for this laptop bag for leather of the best quality that is also made in a responsible way: vegetable-tanned leather.
Vegetable tanning is a method of processing the skin in a pure and natural way without using harmful chemicals such as chromium.
It is a traditional and artisanal process that uses the tannic acid of various plants, using the bark, branches, leaves or even some fruits in some specific techniques.
You can see that in the end result. The leather looks much more natural and over the years it only gets more character.
Safe place for your laptop
Your expensive laptop will of course be well protected. The special laptop compartment is sturdy and luxurious.
We made the laptop compartment from the same 2.5 mm thick leather as the rest of the bag. The inside of this laptop compartment is lined with a padded fabric, for extra protection and against small scratches.
You can close the compartment with press studs.

Leather laptop bag handmade in the Netherlands
We believe in local, responsible production. We have been doing this since our foundation in 2012.
These leather laptop bags are also handmade in the Netherlands, in Kaatsheuvel to be precise.
We buy the leather from the company Dutch Leather Vision in the neighboring town of Dongen, which is only a distance of 8 km.
When your bag is ready, it will be sent to you immediately. Our production chain is therefore very short and with minimal impact in terms of transport.
Hence the Dutch flag on the side of these bags.
Bas Kosters laptop bags - two striking designs
The well-known Dutch fashion designer / artist Bas Kosters made two beautiful prints for us that were inspired by his own school days in the 80s / 90s.
